After seeing the Lumineers last weekend at Hangout Music Festival, I found out through my friend Clint that they were from Denver. I did further research and found out that this band hit closer to home than expected. They got their start at a local club less than two blocks from Ticketproxy headquarters in the Five Points/Lodo area of downtown Denver. And here I was learning about/seeing them for the first time all the way across the country in Alabama. If you're already a fan of theirs and didn't catch them at the Bluebird a few weeks ago, you have another chance this summer at Red Rocks on Saturday July 28th because they open for Cake. Cake is kind of a weird combo for them to be opening for, but I'm sure you will see a great show.
Nationwide they will be playing a lot of festivals this summer as well as doing a tour of small venues across the country including Austin City Limits (Austin, TX), Xponential Music Festival (Camden, NJ), High Sierra Music Festival (Quincy, CA), Capital Hill Block Party (Seattle, WA), Warkarusa Music Festival (Ozark, AK), Summercamp Music Festival (Chillicothe, IL), Ride Festival (Telluride, CO)
The most famous song is "Ho Hey", but we put them on Spotify and liked more of their others as well as enjoyed this interview they gave below.
